Hop tu Naa Hack Day 2026

This Hop tu Naa, we’re doing something a little different at Code Club.

On Saturday 31 October, we’re hosting our first ever Hop tu Naa Hack Day — a free day of coding, creativity and experimentation for anyone aged 13 or over.

Sponsored by Continent 8 Technologies and taking place as part of Hacktoberfest 2026, the event will bring together students, graduates, developers and technology enthusiasts to see what they can build in a single day.

Participants can work individually or in teams, with around seven hours to turn an idea into something they can demonstrate. That could be a game, website, app, AI experiment or something completely unexpected.

There’ll be a Hop tu Naa theme, a particular focus on open-source AI, and prizes for some of the best projects.

You don’t need to be an expert — just bring an idea, some coding experience and a willingness to create something.

The Hack Day runs from 9am until 8pm at Code Club, St Matthew’s Church Hall in Douglas.

Places are free, but registration is required.

We can’t wait to see what you build.
