Frequently Asked Questions

Where does CodeClub meet?

CodeClub meets once a week on Saturday between 16:00 and 18:00. Our current meeting venue is:

Isle of Man Code Club
Eagle Lab,
Victoria Street,
Douglas

What’s the schedule for the Saturday meets?

Our sessions are designed to be free format. We have a space available between 4:00pm and 6:00pm on a Saturday and CodeClub members and interested non-members are welcome to join us as they wish. If a training session is available, this will be held in a segregated area, so other members can network at the same time.

Do you have a child protection policy?

As we are still in the process of setting up Code Club, our policies and regulations are still being finalised, but in the meantime, our principles are as follows:

  • We will endeavour to ensure volunteers delivering courses are trustworthy indivudals
  • We will endeavour to ensure children are never left alone with strangers
  • We will immediately seek to remedy any situation where a child feels uncomfortable for whatever reason.

While we will adopt the statements listed above, please recognise that we understand that ultimate responsibility for any children on our premises remains with their parents or guardians, and will always welcome them to remain present in our sessions.

    Good afternoon,
This is to express an interest to let our two sons join the Code Club please.
They are nine and seven year old, with a great interest in computers and gaming.
I am not quite sure about the options, but would be great if you could kindly guide me through please.
    Many thanks

Hello, I’m so sorry about the late reply.
code club is open every Saturday 4-6pm for drop in sessions so they can try many things such as microbits, scratch, coding courses and vr headsets. To find out what their interest is and to continue further
