More Python, Roblox and Soldering

Our classes are still in full swing, with our Intermediate Python class at 3:00pm this Saturday and Roblox Explorer session between 4:00pm and 6:00pm. The .Net group won’t be meeting this week and the Java class is missing this session too, but there are lots of other projects that we’ll be working on. If you’re looking for something new to so, we still have spaces on our Beginner’s Soldering class on the 1st July. This is suitable for anyone between 12 and 99 who is looking to learn the basics of soldering. All equipment is provided and no prior knowledge is assumed. If this is of interest, Join Our Dojo and book a seat on the class.

Our Twilight Tech session this week will be focusing on Cloud Hosting, with a discussion on various cloud platforms, from Amazon to Azure and everything in between. This is an adult session aimed at bringing together technology enthusiasts, particularly those who work in this space. Keep in mind that this Wednesday session has now moved to the earlier time of 6:00pm, allowing people to can come straight from work and still have an option to pop out for a drink after the session concludes at 8:00pm.

If you’re heading off to the Liverpool Makerfest this weekend we hope you have a great time. It looks like a fantastic event showcasing science, technology, crafts, creations, inventions and gadgets. If you can make it, take lots of pictures and make sure you come back and feed us new ideas!

And on a final note, if you want to help with what we’re doing at STEAM Lab we have a number of opportunities for you to contribute. We’re also looking for people who want to volunteer their skills and their time. If you want to learn more, drop us a comment below. And now you can also help by donating some kit to help us deliver more classes. If you want to help us in this way, you can buy us something from our Amazon wishlist.
