First of all, an important announcement and request. We’re changing the way we operate here at Code Club and have decided to work with CoderDojo, an organisation that shares our ideals that Coding creates opportunities for young and old. CoderDojo will help us organise ourselves better and provides a platform for us to advertise our events, track attendance and even allow parents to monitor what classes their children have attended. We’d like to ask that all our members, friends and followers sign up to Coder Dojo and join our Dojo. This will ensure you can be notified of all our classes and events, book places on them and monitor progress. There are instructions on how to sign up on our Join Our Dojo Page
So, what’s happening this week? First of all, we have the final lessons in the April Arduino classes. They’ve been fantastic, with the classes building projects and learning a new set of skills. We’re repeating these classes in May, with the Saturday class already full, but there are a couple of free spaces on the Wednesday one, so if you fancy learning how these micro controllers work and how they can be used in robotics projects, sign up here.
This Wednesday at 8:00pm, we’ll be running a special Twilight session looking at Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Computer Vision. We have a local expert who will be sharing his experiences, demonstrating what he’s built and running an introduction to the fantastic world of Machine Learning. Spaces are limited, so if you can join us, book here: Machine Learning in Computer Vision Twilight Session
Finally we’re delighted to announce we’re setting up our next set of classes. These include and Intro to Java, Beginning Python and Basic Soldering Techniques. If you’d like to sign up to these classes, you can get notified in advance by Joining our Dojo
