We have a fun-packed Saturday planned at Code Club this week, with a number of things starting off and lots of stuff to see and do. Let’s see what’s starting first:
- We’re running our Scratch class again, aimed at newcomers who want to learn to code. This will be running between 4:00 and 5:00 and everyone on the waiting list should have been notified . We may still have a few empty spaces, so if you fancy squeezing up, come along!
- We’re getting our Cybercenturion team ready for this year’s contest. This is aimed at 12-18 year olds who love puzzles, have a keen interest in computing and networks and love a challenge. We already have a team, but if anyone else wants to join we can start a new team. We’re meeting at 5:00pm to shape this up
- Rumor has it that our Robotics room may be starting a new project, with lots of bits that looked like they could be part of a drone arriving in the post. If you want to help, head ot the MICTA Lounge this Saturday.
Besides all that there’s lots of other stuff happening at Code Club, including the Linux build we started last week will be continuing at 5:00pm. If you found that fun, come and join Nigel. The 3D printer room will be available for those who want to try their hand at making something, and there’s lots of other things to do in the Code Bus and around Code Club.
And if you’re looking for something for after: Manx Litfest are presenting Cara Ellison: Embed with Games at 18:00. She’s a writer, game critic and video game narrative designer and best of all, Code Club members get free entry. If you’re interested in going, drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org for your free ticket.
