This Saturday we’ll be continuing with our HTML class, looking at different ways we can embed content and extending the HTML and CSS that we know. We’ll also have our MICTA Lounge open, running robotics sessions with Lego Mindstorms and Code Bugs. Our Code Bus will be open for us and the 3D room will also be up and running, with our 3D printers, VR headsets and loads more. All this between 4 and 6.
If you’re getting started in Web Design (whether you’re on our HTML class or not) there’s an exciting competition on-island that you should know about. Ashgrove Marketing are running a competition for creatives with a category on Web Design. There’s a £250 prize in each category they’re running and lots of other extras that make this a great prize. This Saturday, Callum from Ashgrove will be popping in after the HTML class (around 5:00pm) to share more information about the competition and try to encourage some of you to enter.
And another piece of news for those interested in Open Data and Digital Engagement. There’s a free event this Saturday (starting 9:30am) at Tynwald exploring ideas around Open Government and Digital Economy. Entrance is free and with a number of foreign guests there’s bound to be loads to learn. If you’re interested in attending you can find more information on the BCS website at http://www.bcs.org.im
