This week, we’re going to dedicate our Code Club session to the fantastic little Code Bug: a cute, programmable, light-up wearable that’s a great way to introduce someone to the joys of coding. We’re lucky to have Thomas Macpherson-Pope coming to visit us and running a presentation and workshop to learn all about Code Bug. Thomas, one of the creators of Code Bug, is on-island visiting family but has agreed to make some time for Code Club to come and show what Code Bug can do and hopefully tell us more about how it was invented. Should be a fantastic session!
As this is a pretty special session for us, we have decided to suspend our regular classes, so the scheduled Scratch, Java and Keyboard/Mouse skills classes will not be running this week. We’re also leaving next Saturday free for a special session in Augmented Reality, where the Derivco, the company that developed the Microgaming AR app that you may have seen at Code Club, is coming to deliver a workshop on Augmented Reality.
Once again, apologies for interrupting our normal classes, but we’re really excited about these sessions and wanted to give everyone the opportunity to attend.
See you Saturday!
