Code Club is now back in full swing and this Saturday we’re starting an Introduction to Java and a repeat of our famous Scratch classes. Classes are full to capacity and we already have a pretty full waiting list for the next batch, but if you’re interested in joining at some point, drop us a line.
FOr those not in class, we have the usual Code Club activities lined up. The Code Bus is housing the Cybersecurity team, who are getting ready for their final contest session at the end of the month, there’s virtual reality and 3D design and printing to play around with and the robotics group are building their fabulous creations with Lego Mindstorms, Code Bugs and other kit. Lots to do and lots to learn!
And finally, an announcement. We’re running a Mouse and Keyboard skills course in February. The class starts on the 6th of February for 6 weeks and is aimed at anyone who needs help learning how to use a mouse or navigate around a keyboard. It’s an excellent start for the younger students who aren’t that familiar with keyboard and mouse, but also for adults who have never had the opportunity to use computers before. Places are limited (as we’re keeping to a class size of 6 to ensure practicals run smoothly) and available on a first-come first-served basis. If you’re interested, or know someone who would like to join, drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org to get them scheduled in.
See you all Saturday!
