This week we’re continuing with our Scratch and PHP classes. We’re having great fun learning how to code, but our classes are full at the moment, so if you’re keen to start coding; just drop firstname.lastname@example.org a line and I’ll add you to our waiting list for the next class. We’re also kicking off a CyberSecurity class for those aged 12-18, to get ready for the CyberCenturion Challenge. If you’re aged between 12 and 18, with an interest in security, come find us at 5:00. Besides all this, we have our usual other bits happening at Code Club, from 3D design to Lego Mindstorms robots, from Roblox to our Makerspace. Come and join us if you can!
This Saturday also marks the start of EU Code Week, a europe-wide initiative to introduce people to coding and show the potential that coding can bring to people’s lives. To mark this week, we’re taking the Code Bus on a tour of the Isle of Man. Every day, from the 10th till the 18th of October, we’ll be visiting different parts of the Isle of Man taking our bus full of tech to let people try some new things. We’re doing this in collaboration with Barclay Digital Eagles who will be on hand to help anyone interested in acquiring some new digital skills. So, interested in coming out to see the Code Bus.
