This week: Hacking websites and how to handle it

We have a great session ready for you this Saturday, showing some techniques that the bad guys use to get into websites and how we protect from that sort of thing. It will provide an interesting view into the cat and mouse game that security professionals play every day and we’ll be talking about different website risks including SQL Injection and DDOS attacks. If that’s doesn’t sound interesting, the rest of Code Club will be available for 3D printing, design, Mindstorms and all the other fun stuff we do on Saturdays. See you at 4:00pm at The Forum

We’re also looking to start a new Robotics class at St. John’s Mill this Sunday (9th). It’s a different to the ones we’e done before so open to everyone who wants to join. We have a couple more places if you want to join us, so if you do, please contact owen@codeclub.im

On Tuesday 11th August there is going to be a Masterclass organised by MICTA and the BCS which may be of interest. There are 2 sessions:

  • 5:15 – Women in IT – Inspiring the Next Generation
  • 6:15 – Process Improvement – Barriers and Opportunities for Teaching and Training

The Masterclass will be held at The Forum. Entrance to these sessions is free, but please book on Eventbrite as places are limited: Book here
