Coding, hardware and technology

We had another great session last week, with one of our members bringing in his Oculus Rift and letting people experience what Virtual Reality is all about. Thanks Gary, you certainly got a few people excited! We also had a couple of excellent lessons upstairs, handouts below for those who didn’t get a copy:

We are continuing with our schedule this week, with another lesson in our Beginner Scratch and Advanced Python series, same as last week; and will have a selection of hardware and software for you to play with too. As mentioned last week, we have some Lego Mindstorms kit for people to come and experiment with; and are delighted to announce that we have sorted out sponsorship and details of our Lego Mindstorms Robotics course.

The Lego Mindstorms course will be held at the St John’s Mill Conference Centre (right next to Tynwald Mills) on Sundays between 3:30pm and 5:30pm. It will start on the 1st February and will run for 5 weeks. We already have a waiting list for this course, but if you’re interested please email owen@codeclub.im. We’ll either get you into this course or put you on hold till the next one. We hope to be running a series of these. More information can be found in the Robotics Course.

See you on Saturday!
