Bitcoin, Robotics and Python for Kids

We have 3 different announcements for you today, all aimed at spreading knowledge and hopefully teaching new skills. First of all, this Saturday we have an exciting talk that combines a number of things we have talked about recently. Gareth Jones, games developer and founder of Deckbound, a blockchain based bitcoin card trading game, talks about three topics that will hopefully resonate with many Code Club attendees, namely Bitcoin, the Blockchain and Internet Based Gaming. We’ll have our usual slots open too, the Advanced Scratch class, .Net Group, 3D corner and Hackspace will be going strong as usual.

In November, we will be running a 5 session robotics course where we will learn how to build a robot arm that is controlled with an Arduino. This is aimed at students aged over 16 due to the concepts and equipment we’ll be dealing with. Places are limited, so please contact to book your seat!

We’ll also be starting a new kid’s coding class in November. We’ll be running the Code Club Python for Kids class. It’s a 6 week course intended to introduce textual programming to kids and is just perfect for those who had completed the previous Scratch courses we ran. Places are limited, so please contact to book your seat!

It’s an exciting meet and will also mark the beginning of EU Code Week, so come and learn something new. All this and more can be found on our What’s On page. Check it out!

One Responseso far.
